Working with Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Merton Council is offering a new course to support named SENCos to gain accreditation for the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to support children aged 0 to 5 with SEND.

Course content:

1. The role of the SENCo
2. Supporting children with speech, language and communication needs
3. Supporting children with behaviour, emotional and social development needs
4. Supporting children with cognition, social and/or physical development needs

Aimed at: This course is for SENCos working in Early Years settings, nursery and reception class teachers who support children with SEND or other practitioners in a senior role working with children who have SEND. The course is fully-funded by the Greater London Authority (GLA).

Date:  Fridays 26 April, 17 May, 14 June and 5 July 2019

Time: 9.15am - 4.00pm

Cost: The course is free for all Wandle Early Years Hub members.
